Arsene Wenger Statue Unveiled By Arsenal At Emirates Stadium

A statue depicting legendary former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was unveiled at the club's Emirates Stadium on Friday.

The bronze statue - which shows Wenger lifting the Premier League trophy - was created by sculptor Jim Guy. It is 3.5 meters tall and weighs approximately 500 kilograms.

Wenger holds the record for being the longest-serving manager in Premier League history.

He was in charge of Arsenal for 7,894 days from October 1996 to May 2018.

Wenger led the Gunners in 828 Premier League matches, winning 476 of them.

His Arsenal side scored 1,561 EPL goals and conceded 807.

With Wenger in the dugout, Arsenal won three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and seven editions of the FA Community Shield.

Current Gunners boss Mikel Arteta - who previously served as captain under Wenger - paid tribute to the Frenchman in a club statement published on Friday.

Speaking about Wenger's statue, Arteta said: "It's such a great tribute that the club has done something special for Arsene that he fully deserves and merits. With a statue now at the stadium, Arsene can have that recognition and be here at our club forever.

"I'm so grateful to have played for Arsene at this club in my career. He chose me to be one of his players and selected me to be the captain of the club and that's something I will never forget."
