Injuries Trend Positive for Eddie Jackson and Lucas Patrick

The Bears will have a great deal of uncertainty involved regarding the final injury report due on Friday, largely centering around three players.

One was safety Eddie Jackson, who had been listed as limited for a Wednesday practice if one had been held, and he hasn't played due to a foot injury since Oct. 15. He was healthy enough Thursday, however, to go through a full practice. So, if he's able to practice Friday without a setback it could signify his return.

Jackson played only 14 snaps Oct. 15 and it was his only action since the foot injury occurred in Week 2. Jackson on Sunday was active and healthy enough to play but was held out.

The other positive situation is center Lucas Patrick, listed as missing Wednesday's practice due to a back injury. He also went through a full practice on Thursday. Patrick played in the game Sunday after he woke up with back pain on Sunday morning and had been listed as questionable at the last minute.

The real issues for this week beyond those are safety Jaquan Brisker with a concussion and linebacker Tremaine Edmunds with a knee injury. Brisker remains in the protocol so there is more certainty he'll be unavailable than with Edmunds.

This week Edmunds has been listed as missing both practices with the knee injury he sustained in Sunday's game. Coach Matt Eberflus had characterized the situation as positive on Monday, but by that it's possible he meant it wasn't season-ending or even week-to-week. It's a day-to-day injury.

Like with Justin Fields (thumb), guard Nate Davis remains out (ankle), as does cornerback Terell Smith (illness).

Braxton Jones had his window opened for return from IR last week and hasn't yet gone through a full practice yet. He was limited due to the neck injury Thursday and likely would need to have a full practice before he gets the OK to return. He has not played since Week 2.

Tight end Marcedes Lewis was given Thursday off as veteran's rest and tackle Larry Borom was away Thursday for personal reasons.
