Could Ravens trade for two-time NFL rushing yards, TDs leader?

Although the Ravens are 4-2 a month and a half into the season, they are still struggling to find success on offense. Could a two-time NFL rushing yards and rushing touchdowns leader be the missing piece?

Bleacher Report believes Baltimore should trade WR Devin Duvernay, a 2024 second-round pick and a 2024 fifth-round pick for Titans All-Pro RB Derrick Henry before the Oct. 31 trade deadline.

The three-time Pro Bowler led the league in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns in 2019 and 2020 and would instantly upgrade the Ravens backfield.

Ever since Baltimore lost RB J.K. Dobbins to a season-ending injury in Week 1, it has been searching for a difference maker on the ground, besides QB Lamar Jackson, of course. Henry would certainly be that with 8,760 rushing yards and 81 rushing touchdowns in his career.

The Ravens are also clearly willing to pay the position at a time when the rest of the NFL seems to feel otherwise because they were in contract negotiations with Dobbins. However, following his second season-ending injury, Baltimore may want to look elsewhere.

Henry has had his fair share of injuries over the past few years as well, but when healthy, he is still one of the most dominant runners in the league.

The trade may feel a little steep for a running back who will turn 30 this season, but Henry would surely help the Ravens' Super Bowl aspirations in 2023.

Baltimore traded a second-round pick for LB Roquan Smith last season and that worked out quite well. Henry could be the latest example.

The Ravens running game will be put to the test in Week 7 when they host the Lions (5-1), who boast the league's best rushing defense, which has allowed the least rushing yards per game (64.7).
