Sacramento Kings Governor Reveals Team Has Made Their Laser Beam Even Brighter After Coach Mike Brown's Suggestion
Rick Osentoski-USA TODAY Sports

The Sacramento Kings' laser beam will shine even brighter after wins.

The Sacramento Kings have not been a competitive franchise for the last few years, but that has absolutely changed this season. Stars Domantas Sabonis and De'Aaron Fox have led them to the 5th seed in the Western Conference.

There is a real chance that the Sacramento Kings could make the playoffs this year and end their postseason drought. There's no doubt that they are a good team this year, and it is clear that they are developing a winning culture.

One of the things that have become a part of the Kings' culture this year is the team lighting up a purple laser beam after every victory. Recently, owner Vivek Ranadive revealed that the team has made that laser beam even brighter after Mike Brown's request, just in time for their six-game homestand.

Coach Brown, we heard you and made The Beam a lot brighter, just in time for our 6-game holiday home stand!

It is good to see that the team is committed to winning as of right now, rather than tanking for another good draft pick. The team's trade for Domantas Sabonis signified a change in their culture, and it is clear that the big man has helped the team with his skill set.

The Sacramento Kings Could Make Even More Moves To Improve

Even when a team is doing well, it is the front office's responsibility to do their due diligence and figure out ways to improve further. It seems as though the Sacramento Kings are trying to do that, with the team reportedly being interested in two-way players such as Kyle Kuzma, OG Anunoby, and Pascal Siakam.

"Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus reported Sunday, citing sources, that the Kings are among four teams keeping an eye on Kuzma -- along with the Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns."

"Sacramento has been interested in Kuzma in the past, as the 6-foot-9 forward was in the middle of trade rumors involving the Kings sending Buddy Hield to Los Angeles."

"Anunoby, in his sixth season with the Toronto Raptors, is a defensive monster who also can put the ball in the basket. In 26 games this season, Anunoby is averaging 19.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 36.7 minutes. He currently leads the NBA with 62 total steals and is shooting 47.5 percent from the field. Anunoby is under contract through next season and has a $19.9 million player option for 2024-25."

"Siakam, a teammate of Anunoby's in Toronto, is off to a fantastic start this season averaging a career-high 25.3 points and 8.9 rebounds. His deal doesn't expire until after the 2023-24 campaign."

It remains to be seen if the Sacramento Kings do end up making a trade. They are a team that could easily decide to stay put, especially if they go on a winning streak and continue to move upward in the standings.

It would definitely be good to see the Sacramento Kings make the playoffs this year. Their fanbase has endured a lot of losing, and perhaps this is the year the Kings manage to get back to the highest stage.
